How cute is this little stud??  Ok, I'm a little partial.  My favorite boy is turning 3 in a couple of weeks so we did a little mini session so I could get his party invitations finished and sent out.  My wonderful mentor Kellie told me that something flips at 3 and suddenly children become easier to photograph.  I didn't believe her until today.  I had so much fun taking these few shots.  We will have a full birthday session in a week or two, but here's a little preview of my Little Mr.

Besties

I was invited by my friend Sammie of 1297 Photography to go on a photoshoot with a group of friends who are just about to move on to bigger and better!  We had so much fun.  I love when girls/women are not shy in front of the camera, and these girls definitely were not shy!!  Hope you enjoy.

Pretty Pregnant

This is one of my very best friends in the world.  She is expecting her second baby boy in a couple of weeks so I convinced her to let me take some maternity pictures of her.  It took a TON of convincing because for some reason, and I had to promise not to show her face...She's crazy because she is absolutely beautiful, pregnant or not!

I just had the opportunity to team up with Michellene from Princess Couture Designs to take some product shots of her newest line of hair accessories.  Every time she comes out with a new line I have to hide the credit card so I don't go on a major shopping spree!  Her shop is one of my favorite places to get headbands for my little princess.  Go check out her shop, you'll become an addict!!

What to Wear Wednesday | Southern Utah Photographer

All of you moms out there know that when it comes to family picture time one of the biggest stresses of all is deciding on clothes for everyone.  That's why I have decided to start a series here on my blog called "What to Wear Wednesday."  Each Wednesday I will post a collage of looks, (along with the site where I found them) for the entire family that I hope will give you inspiration for deciding on what to wear for your next Family Photo!

Fun Family | Southern Utah Family Photographer

A few days ago I had the opportunity to go to Cedar City and do a session with my friend and her cute "new" family.  J used to be my neighbor, and at the time was going through some stuff...Well she made it through the "stuff" and came out of it stronger, better, and much happier.  The happiness radiates from her, and has completely transformed her.  I almost didn't recognize her when she pulled up to meet me at our session!   She's got a great new man, a couple of cute new kids added to the two cute ones she already had, a great new look, and a new outlook on life!  Couldn't be happier for her.

I guess I did things a bit backward.  I started this blog a few weeks after I started taking clients, instead of having it set up and ready to go when I had my first session that did not involve my children.  I began with a page on Facebook, which you can find here, and that is where I was posting all of my sneak peeks for these wonderful clients of mine.  It has worked out great so far, but then I realized if I ever got a client who didn't have a Facebook page (gasp!  Are there possibly people out there with no Facebook page??) this could pose a problem.  So from now on I will be posting the sneak peeks here.

Even though these are not sneak peaks by any means I wanted to post a few pictures featuring some of my very first clients.

How it all began | Southern Utah Child Photographer

I started on this journey into photography only to learn to take better photos of my kids.  Little did I know what kind of spark was about to ignite.  I found that I love looking through the lens of a camera!!

These are photos from my first session...with my own little ones.  Z had just had a birthday and it was the perfect time for some spring shots of them both.
